Carbon graphite foam battery boost output, reduces size

A lead-acid type battery using a carbon foam matrix makes for a much smaller and rugged battery; the Army is now looking at the technology from Caterpillar Tractors. Batteries for electric vehicles are several years off (like most new technology...)
