We used to love Krait, which is stuff that goes through the classic méthode champenoise double fermentation process, but starts with beer instead of wine.

We haven't seen it around here lately. This is locally brewed

and is similar. Sort of a cross between beer and champagne, with lots of tiny bubbles. Very tasty.

I don't really like champange, on new years eve my wife and I will bring a bottle of a duble or tripel Abbey ale. We loved the Allagash duble and tripel

But the Buffalo distributer can't get it any more.... it all goes to the east coast. :^(
