how can i convert 5V input voltage to 24V output voltage using optocoupler? Which optocoupler can i use? I want to connect absolute encoder to PLC. output of absolute encoder is 5V and input to PLC is 24 V. Please give me solution.
Do you want to sink the current or source the current? it depends on your current consumptions that you can use optocoupler or not.
you can use mct 6 or mct 2E optocoupler from fairchild / vishay semiconductors, if your current requirement is less than 3A.
