I used MAX712 IC to build a Nimh battery charger. I experienced that
712 cannot terminate charging properly, either overcharged or terminate charging too early. I don't think zero dV/dt termination method is good and I never found there is a max voltage termination method included in MAX 712. almost 30% times when I used this MAX712 to charge 4 AA batteries, the problem (terminated too early) occurred. Really don't think 712 can work well !
