Step down transformer 240-120/110V, 50/60Hz, 800VA/800W

Hello.

I wish to purchase a step down transformer to run some Non-Intelligent US equipment, eg., lead-melting pots and hot-stick glue guns. Voltae and current are not critical eg. step-down voltage can be 110 or 120 volts, and current either 50 or 60 hertz. Power is critical eg. either

800VA or 800W (difference is pretty irrelevent). However price is a concern, I have seen some very steep prices for the power capacity.

Any advice?

Regards, Elmar Schueler.

** Yeah - post your idea of a steep price.

Or do you expect the earth for sixpence ?

Here's one idea. Find the least expensive transformer you can, and buy it. It's a common approach adopted by many people and works on many occasions.

No wonder Phil gives so many people shit. For a change, he has posted a decent reply and you still feel that you have to attack him. Exactly who is the troll here? I'm sick of the bullshit. ... Steve
