I have a small amp TS PG-5 and the on of sw has three positions, off,on and od any ideas what the od is, I thought maybe distortion but does not seem to do much(slight difference in volume)

overdrive ?

OverDrive. Technically it's not distortion but rather an increase in the input sensitivity so that it becomes easier to obtain it.
