What does it emulate? Usual trick, for dot matrix printers, was to switch them to Epson emulation and treat as basic Epson, although that site indicates some graphics capability.

Caveat, Pansonic dot matrix didn't feature in my past.

That doesn't always work as expected. One of the problems was that Epson used their own 'special' stepper motors in their printers with a very slightly different step angle to the norm. As a consequence a lot of the alternative brand's emulations of Epson codes resulted in occasional white strips across the paper. For normal text printing it wasn't a great issue but it was for graphics..

Thanks. After trying about a dozen Epson and a few IBM drivers, i found the Epson JX-80 (a color printer) gave the best graphics (still left something to be desired). Either one got an infinite amount of garbage (even with printing TWO characters), or it worked (at half resolution). Printer in Epson mode or in IBM mode seemed to make zero difference.

Any suggestions for improvement from "half" graphic resolution to full graphic resolution would be welcome.

Thanks.
