I bought a screwdriver-type tester for a buck, it has a tiny LCD display and two finger contacts, labelled 'Direct Test' and 'Inductance Break-point Test'. The 'Direct Test' works as you would expect and identifies the Active in a GPO, but I'm not sure how the other one functions. No instructions came with it - anyone got one of these ?
Yeah, looks the same but no brand-name on it. Mine is sold as a voltage tester, no mention of audio use. How can it measure DC????

Surely you can work out that that they are simply trying to create an audiofool market for it.
