looking for 5K watt transformer for cheap tia sal2.

Greets All

A friend of mine is looking for a 5K watt transformer or higher for some project he is working on not sure exactly what it deals with. Does anyone know where I can find one for cheap or free? He lives in Hilo, Hawaii.

A 5KW xfmr for free?? LOL Even in the obscure chance that there is one available, you're going to have to be a LOT more specific. What are the primary voltage(s), secondary voltage(s) and current(s)? Is this xfmr to run on 60 Hz or other frequency? Duty cycle?

Post more on the required parameters, and you might get an answer.

5,000 watts is going to be uncommon.
