Are you afraid Jim will be trolling the streets looking for drug money
if he takes a few days worth of pain meds?
People in pain have a right to get pain meds.
Society has gone nuts, on both sides of this issue.

  Fast healing to you, Jim.

For sure.  The BS isn't affecting me... but my wife has _extreme_ back
problems :-(

I agree.  I still have the full bottle of Percs they gave me a few
weeks back.  When I had the CABG surgery, they insisted that I take
them for weeks after, warning me that it would be hard to catch up
with the pain if I didn't.  I listened to them.  Shouldn't have.

I'm confused by your response.

  Meaning, you didn't take them?

What is it you "shouldn't have?

Correct.

Some.  Many more than needed.

1) ...listened to the nurses.
2) ...taken as many as I did.

I find I get along just ducky on 1/4 the prescribed daily consumption
of Oxycodone... I tend to be one who would rather endure pain than be
foggy-brained... so I only take a single 10mg at bedtime to ensure I
can fall asleep.

In the '60's I was given "muscle-relaxants" for a torn muscle sheath
in my back... couldn't focus my eyes... took 'em back to pharmacy for
disposal ;-)

Thanks, Perry!

As for the pain med's, I've avoided them altogether this evening,
though I am getting very sore... but tolerable.

They tell me the bruising may last up to six weeks :-(

Why?  It's one of the times you're allowed.  Senility is the other

I had a Hernia done about 8 months at the British Hernia Centre.

Out on the day, got train home, and back to the weights at the gym a week
later, now wearing a belt :-)

I wish you the best Jim.
