We have a terrible homeless problem in San Francisco. The more they spend on it (over $300 million a year now) the worse it gets. The answer? Spend more!

Does it somehow make sense to spend less?

IBM now has more employees in India than in the USA. The biggies (Microsoft, google, anybody with a full-time legal staff working to avoiding taxes) are stashing their profits offshore. The only people paying full taxes are small businesses.

Most everything at Home Depot is made in China.

The richest counties in the USA are suburbs of Washington DC.

Your tax policy at work.

A good way for them to buy constituents with your money.

Not when you want more of it, no.

The homeless situation is alienating the locals and chasing away businesses and tourists. The money is going to the "providers", the services organizations and tent-and-needle distributors and consultants and lawyer advocates, and the city employees, who use the homeless like farmers use cows. And the providers fund the politicians. It all works.

As someone who works for a small business, I know. When I hear liberals talk about how we don't need a corporate tax cut, 'cause the big companies are already paying low taxes, I just shake my head.

Well not just mine. Let's call it 'Our tax policy'. (I didn't like the Bush tax cuts, even though they put an extra kilo buck in my wallet every year.)

They get milk from the homeless??? Usually that give milk to the homeless. Do they also artificially inseminate them?

Yes, I can see how the city employees get a lot from the homeless. I suppose they'll start a program to bus them in from other areas. I think the converse has been ruled illegal by the courts, but I don't think anyone will object to busing in *more* homeless from other areas. Then the city employees will really prosper.

Good to see things that work well. ;)

Yup, as citizens we "gave away" most of our representation in government in exchange for cheap foreign-made trinkets. I mean yeah Wal-Mart and ExxonMobil run the show now but hey! You can get an LCD TV for $299 and it's not even that small!

We'll not have projectors in our new conference rooms... just giant TV sets on the wall, next to the giant whiteboards.

We're going that way, too. Projectors are just too much of a PITA. TVs just work.

Like AGW but anything works as long as it's expensive.

Any suggestions? We'd prefer both HDMI and VGA, for our PC and visitor laptops. And no TV reception!
