This is quite possibly an OS problem, or missing drivers. I've never seen that error on Linux.

I mostly use Win2K, then sometimes use WinXP and rarely use Win7 and i have never seen this problem. I am going to presume you use Win7 (or worse, WinX); you can load a different version of FF, say 45 and then 49 and try them. Nice thing is that you can have 10 versions and no conflicts.
