Pi-Hole - EasyPrivacy blocks startpage.com

I've been using a RPi4 for some time now, always with the default adlist:

Today I added EasyPrivacy

and the problems began. I wasn't able to reach startpage.com anymore. Logs showed Pi-Hole was blocking

vf.startpage.com

which is part of the EasyPrivacy list. I tried whitelisting it in Domain management, but it doesn't work, so now I've disabled EasyPrivacy.

I'm obviously doing something wrong, but what? How can I enable the adlist and still have access to startpage.com?

Must be coincidence, eu.startpage.com seems to be down according to:

That's a great irony; my olde (XP vintage) browser doesn't allow me to type anything in the search box!

It's not a coincidence: startpage has been having problems since Dec 6. It has nothing to do with me reinstalling Pi-Hole and adding adlists. I found a thread in Reddit:

Apparently it's the EU servers; they've been working on and off. The US servers should work.

I also found this:

Why are these guys logging without mentioning their source? For anyone reading this on electrondepot.com: this is a posting sent through a news server to the newsgroup comp.sys.raspberry-pi. You're all welcome, use Eternal September as a (free) news server.

(I'm curious if they're going to respect my X-No-Archive:yes header...)
