I have one of the above mentioned sets which after some period of time goes fuzzy on the screen. Sometimes it appears the the fuzz looks like something coming off another channel super imposed on the original. It is worse on some channels than others. Also the audio goes stupid. Turning the set off/on can often correct the problem for another hours viewing.
Any ideas?

Sounds like a tuner or IF module problem. You may need to remove the tuner or the IF module (if this set has a aseperate module) and resolder many tiny solder joints to solve this problem. If you don't hav experience doing this type of soldering, it may be best to give it to a professional who has done it before, because there is a chance you can damage or destroy the modules if done wrong.
