I will be upgrading my mother-in-law's (the Big Kahunah) TV in a couple of weeks. Part of the deal is that she is switching from cable (Charter) to FIOS (Verizon).
Is FIOS from the outside box to internal TVs the same old RG6 and F connectors? The HDTV connection from box to TV is HDMI, right?

NO - if you are talking about the outside box. Yes - if you are talking about the connection between the "cable" box and the TV, but there should also be a other options.
