I just wanted to post this, it may not be how Bose does it but it worked;

Forgot Parental DVD control password/pin.

1. Insert blank DVD/R or DVD/RW.

1. Press settings.

2. Go to DVD setup menu.

1. Change password/pin to your new password.

Note: Their is no "defalt" password.
