Acer AL1721 TFT monitor - No power despite working external PSU

Hi

Anyone have experience bringing a dead AL1721 montior back to life? The external PSU works (tested on a similar monitor) and there are only two boards inside the monitor, marking are:

Power board (into which the PSU plugs) TOP REV:A

Logic board (into which the D-SUB/DVI and audio plug)

Any troubleshooting tips greatly appreciated.

The monitor was bought 2 years ago and is otherwise pristine (otherwise apatr from it is as dead as a Dodo!!!).
