Hi folks,I want to put a supercapacitor to use, preferablyas follows.I want to charge it in my house, then take itoutside for use in my work shed, either to drivea 12 volt device or to drive an inverter to runa 120VAC device.Is there anything already on the market thatwill let me do that?Thanks.

Not going to happen. Energy stored is proportional to volume of device. Gasoline has a very high energy / cu inch ratio. Batteries have much less. Super caps? Less again I suspect.

Oops, I meant that to say 61.25 Joules, and 1 Joule = 1 wattsecond.

He still needs an extension cord...

Thanks Walter. I know, it's not sensible, but I want to see how far I can push the supercap idea. I did the google search and right away I found an IC.
