varistor

Hi everyone,

I'm searching for a varistor with an insulation resistance of min. 7GOhm. Are there varistors with this property?

Thank you in advance, Uwe.

Varistors runfrom a few ohms to hundreds of Kohms. There are *resistors* available in the 10^10 ohm region that you mention, but they are not cheap. Now if you want (say) a 1K varistor, and need insulation around it, that is a different story. If so, you should specify the "why" of 7*10^9 ohms or better. For low leakage to other components? To stand off high voltages: a few KV or hundred KV or more?
