UART 2 USB, but the other way

Jun 08, 2004 0 Replies

Is there such a beast ? I want to be able to connect USB ADSL modem to UART. I'v got bunch of embedded boxes containing UART(fast), RJ45 and SPI. The last one is allready occupied. RJ45 is rather usefull and I would like to save it. UART is available. Now I would like some glue chip. Something with Host USB and UART interfaces that I couls use to pump USB information inside my box and map to virtual USB port. All I found was more powerfull than my main processor, like 200MHz ARM922T for example :(.

Pozdrawiam.
