Looking for any experience/guidance in reading the SSI data (Synchron-Serial-Interface) from an Absolute Position Encoder via an RS-232/422 Port.
I'm hoping there should be a way to re-configure the UART to read the data directly and not require much in external logic. (Using 'C' on a 300 MHz PC/104 controller.)
