Re: are there any reasonably priced programmers that can program both AVRs and PICs?

I have the PICALL V3.42

In all of the advertisements, it claims that it programs AVR parts; it even has documentation on how to hook up the ISP port.

Darn shame it doesn't work, though. I contacted the maker, and got "nothing but net".

Hope you have better luck.

Hi - I've been contemplating the choice of a AVR/PIC programmer for quite >some time now. I'd like to find a programmer for AVRs, but if it could also >program PICs that would be nice as well. Similarly, it would be pretty cool >if it could program eeproms - but that is much less important than pic >capabilities. I don't need a development board - only a programmer. I'd >like to either buy a prebuilt one or solder together a kit - not build one >from seperate parts. Any suggestions? I'd like to spend well under $100. >Under $50 would be much preferrable. Right now I'm looking at the Atmel AVR >ISP - but of course it only programs AVRs :( Any thoughts? > >thanks, > >Michael
