Aside from technologies mandated by specific industries (PostNet, ABC Codabar, UPC, EAN, etc.), are any *print* labeling technologies still in favor for "application specific" use? Or, is this all pretty much ad hoc? E.g., QR Code seems to already be on the wane; active tags are more costly; etc.
