Zener clamping output of regulator

But the 2084 is a quad, so at $1.11 the dual 8656 is in the same price range.

The AD part is IORR which is nice, but the 2084 has a max recommended operating Vs of +/-19V (same as abs max, ahem) which is nice too.

AD8655 is a crummy little low voltage CMOS RR with less than 1/3 S.R. of th e 2084. The 2084 was for a different era of electroncs design- can't believ e how much they want for that chip now- ridiculous!

Actually that reminds me of an amusing dirt cheap clamping problem.

Any suggestions for a classical cheap diode that is extremely low leakage

You'd like an 'ideal' diode with infinite resistance till it gets to ~0.6 V and then zero resistance after that?

I guess it depends on what the impedance is 'behind' the diode(s).

With higher voltages there's the B. Pease trick with a FET.
