As I said earlier, it's not an extremely useful code for communications, so , no, I wouldn't expect it to have been used. Your question asked "how many systems", not "how many communications...".
My 11/35 had core, the 11/34 was semiconductor.
AIUI, the problem wasn't the packaging material, rather the gas used to test for hermaticity. They were using a beta emitter instead of an alpha, IIRC. The beta had a high enough energy to flip the bits. Alphas won't penetrate far enough to get to the circuit.
