Mine is only 18 months old, so maybe I have that to look forward to.
I see a lot of crappy photos. Some don't care what their pictures look like.

I have a dual-head Weller, one with a needle tip and the other with tweezers.
...and you're AlwaysWrong. ...but everyone, including you, knows that.
Nice.

The spreadsheet is actually better than the work building it.
I should make a "Your logo here" generic template of it and post it somewhere.
Really? I think the old ESD2001 station and EC1302 iron is quite good, it has a heater that surrounds the tip, and a temp sensor that pokes up the back into a hole in the center of the tip. I can't see how that doesn't really control the tip temperature.
For heavier work, I use a WSL with WMP iron. It doesn't have two totally separate interfaces to the tip for heating and sensing, but seems to do pretty well.

I am pretty sure E-Teknet DOES do the fabrication in China. The owner is Chinese, and I think they even say this somewhere in their web site. Also, they are pretty much shut down for the Chinese new year, and warn you about slow delivery at that time.

What are you babbling about? Cheap paper can be used as a anti-static mat, if need. Unless you are in a very dry area..
"right"???????????

You're a goddamned idiot.
I've used Advanced Circuits several times for proto. Not the cheapest but good quality and helpful folks working there. PCBCart (china) will do low qty runs and can be inexpensive if you can live with 10-12 days + shipping.
