Who is it that's being an arrogant ass? Or is it that you just have your head up your ass ?:-)

Now stop blowing yourself and go find me a successfully prosecuted case.

That has nothing to do with the subject, which is whether it\'s legal to copy a patented invention for personal use. It\'s not. End of story.

You are. Condescending too.

Fellow SEDers. Anyone with half a brain knows it's case law that defines the true law of the land. If it weren't, why is it that we have appeals courts and the Supreme Court to smooth the interpretation of statutes?

John is just all upset that he can't cite a successful prosecution under his misinformed/malinformed *view* of the law.

Not at all. My view of the law is as it\'s written and is the correct one. The courts are there to interpret and apply the law on a case-by-case basis, but the law itself is the starting point. Your argument that because no one has been prosecuted for copying a patented invention for personal use makes the action legal is flawed, since the law itself makes the action illegal until the law is changed. Even for a person with only half a brain that\'s not a difficult concept to grasp, Jim, so I suspect all you\'re doing is buying time by blabbing on and grasping at straws so that by some miracle something will turn up which will prove you right and me wrong. Don\'t hold your breath. Or, rather, _do_ hold it! ;)

You're confusing criminal and civil regulations without a clue. I give up on you, John, you're beyond help.

There's no need to tar and feather republicans - everyone can already see they're scoundrels!

Read US Patent 6,975,212 B2.

Not worth the powder to blow it to hell, but it's a good marketing description ;-)

Nah, real Republicans aren't bad - they're in favor of limited government, the Constitution, that sort of thing. It's the neocons that are in the pocket of the prince of evil.

Thanks, Rich
