Sell you datasheet collections

I read in earlier posts that many of you have your own large datasheet collections. If any of you would like to sell these collections to the DatasheetArchive please email me at snipped-for-privacy@datasheetarchive.com

Please send a list of what you have. A directory & file list will suffice as long as you have used part numbers for the file names. We will then filter the list to show what datasheets we don't have in our database and make you an offer for them.

Many Thanks Christopher

We've had a few enquiries asking how to obtain a list of files within a directory and its subdirectories. In windows you can do something like this (replacing the drive and directory name with your own of course).

Start / Run / Cmd (hit enter to get command prompt)

DIR /S C:\\Datasheets > C:\\list.txt

This would create list.txt containing everything within the datasheets folder.

Thanks

I use a program called "Directory Lister". It creates a list for any directory and/or sub directories on any hard drive on your computer. I save the file to the hard drive, open my HTML editing tools and delete any lines I don't want, then resave it. I can also print it to my PDF software, if I need to send it to someone.

Isn't good old DOS useful. :-)

- You can get the list of DIR options by typing dir /? at the command prompt. For example, dir /b /oe will output a list of file names alone (no details), one per line, sorted alphabetically within groups organized by file extension (also in alphabetical order).

- in the OP's example, if list.txt exists before the command is executed it will be overwritten without warning.

Whereas the above works with any Windows installation.

I live in fear of getting a job with a company that had the misfortune to employ you. However I believe I may have mentioned that before.

In the meantime, let's take some time to analyse why your response is stupid.

You... may go first.
