replacing 2 D cells with 18650 batteries

Free shipping only from Amazon Canada. $45 USD shipping is ridiculous. Tap Magic is $15 CAD for 16 oz from KBC Canada and I can pick it up. $4.89 for the little 4 oz can.

But often the shipping charges from Amazon US are less than the difference for the oddball things that are not available. I am waiting on some electrical cord cover for my office floor to get power to the credenza. Amazon Canada has some for same day or next day shipping but they're made from something like PVC and come rolled up (and like to stay in that shape, according to reviews). The ones I want are silicone and don't take as much of a set. I think shipping was $10 US or something like that, no big deal. Liquids are more of a hassle, especially if they attract hazmat charges.

More interestingly you can buy a lot of things from Amazon.de and Amazon.jp (you have to set up a separate account for each) though the shipping charges can easily double the price, there are some cool things that are just not easily available otherwise.

It's a great time to have a bit of disposable income, between all the cool stuff available from China, Japan, Europe and US sources (not to mention surplus from local North American sources) we have an embarassment of riches.

Yup. Tap Magic is great stuff.

I have Prime. The 4 oz bottle is CDN$ 19.75 with free shipping.

The 16 oz bottle from Amazon USA is US$13.45, $45.99 shipping.

I cannot figure out how they can charge so much for shipping.

Outrageous.

KBC has 3 locations including Toronto. It would take me two hours to drive from Midland, probably another hour fighting traffic to get there. Then I have to get back home. There is usually a 25 mile traffic backup south of Barrie.

Amazon is a much better option, and they deliver. 4 oz is plenty for the amount of drilling I do. No 1/2" holes in mild or armor steel. Maybe some

1/16" stainless or mild steel brackets. I do have Drill Doctor which is absolutely marvellous, but until Project Farm came along, I had no effective cutting fluid.

How about raising a line to the ceiling and snaking it across? Even better, lay it on the ceiling tiles so it is out of sight. Then you won't have the bump of a cover on the floor to deal with.

That depends on whether or not it crosses an international border.

Thanks for the independant confirmation. Project Farm is a great site.

I have:

Tap Magic in the old metal can. Tapmatic LPS Alumtap

None of them smell very nice.
