Dinosaurs are three dimensional objects, and modelling stuff in 3-D is computationally expensive.

When Cambridge Instrument first got 3-D drafting software, they used it to generate four designs for a large volume scanning chamber.

The first design didn't have any room for the cabling. The second design and the third designs did include enough space to accommodate the cables, but didn't put it where the cables needed to go. The fourth design worked, but was too bulky for most customers.
