What you need is a newsreader that can kill an entire thread. Then you could tell it to kill all threads started by Mr Flying, and any sub-threads created by his replies.
Since Skybuck's behaviour is hardly an isolated phenomenon on Usenet, it would be surprising if someone had not already implemented such a thing.
