It is possible for the tuning fork element of a 32.768 kHz quartzcrystal to be used in an oscillator circuit if the element has beenexposed from its case and immersed in water ? Or is its Q factor nowtoo low ? The element exposed to air will produce slightly higherfrequencies than 32.768 kHz when used in a CMOS 4069 inverter gatecircuit using a 10 M ohm resistor (gate out-to-input) and 10 pF fromgate inverting input to ground.
