Seems like a waste of time. NT presents as impervious to logical argument.

Impervious to crassly stupid argument anyway.

NT seems to have decided that anything he doesn't agree with must be crassly stupid. He hasn't actually identified any part of the argument he disagrees with as "crassly stupid" so this looks more like krw-level abuse than any kind of reasoned reaction.

NT enthusiasm for what looks like grossly out of date cost data could be seem as crassly stupid, but it's more likely mental ossification, which looks much the same, but can't be cured by better information.

average, but think he's smarter than everyone, even though he plays the foo l over & over.

How perceptive of Jamie. He has - of course - a different kind of problem - which involves recognising how much stupider he is than everyone else. He clearly know that he isn't very bright, but the yawning gap that exists in reality is beyond his comprehension.

NT suffers from the same kind of stupidity and incomprehension, if on a sma ller scale. While nowhere near as dumb and wrong-headed as Jamie, he's stil l remarkably stupid and comically over-confident about his half-baked opini ons.

John Larkin does fit the description better, and Cursitor Doom better still. Nobody is going to call NT even slightly smarter than the average, and he plays the fool non-stop.
