My HP computer started to smell, so I shut it down. When I opened the power supply I found an inrush limiter that was blackened and fell apart at first touch. The part is available, so now I wonder, should I replace the two* capacitors at the output of the bridge? What kind of specifications should I look for? Thanks, Mike
- two capacitors, I think one is part of a doubler.
P.S. any link to a schematic that shows how computer power supplies switch the input from 115v to 230v would be appreciated. Looks like maybe a voltage doubler and then switch open for 230v input?
