I've heard that the commercial board houses drill the holes, plate up the copper, and then use the artwork to stencil or screen solder onto the copper, then etch and the solder acts as resist. I have no idea what etchant they'd use, or even if it's true, but it sounds like an interesting and eminently feasible idea.

Very strange, as soon as i click the reply button the quoted text shows up in the editor with the new layer of ">" showing. Maybe i will have to look at my posts in a different newsreader.
