Just in case anyone is struggling with extending the life of their old Powershot G2 (good optics so it's worth keeping round a while longer IMHO)....
Some googling will tell you that there are no Win-7 drivers for this camera. But if you have a machine running Ubuntu linux, it connects and transfers images with no problems.
Ubuntu is good for that. Great for getting stuff out of iOS devices as well.
