That is interesting, and somewhat coincides with my assertion that, on a physical level at least, the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle may apply to the maximum precision to which PI might be calculated.

Perhaps in some physical circumstance. But in the pure math land, where's the tradeoff? (position vs. velocity, time vs. frequency, ...). Seems that it's just a matter of using a decent algorithm (some converging faster than others) and a long enough application of good arithmetic to get to any arbitrary level of precision. Of course, if your requirement is a googleplex of digits maybe you'll get to the heat death of the universe first (though the current
