Hello.

I wish to purchase a step down transformer to run some Non-Intelligent
US equipment, eg., lead-melting pots and hot-stick glue guns. Voltae
and current are not critical eg. step-down voltage can be 110 or 120
volts, and current either 50 or 60 hertz. Power is critical eg. either
800VA or 800W (difference is pretty irrelevent). However price is a
concern, I have seen some very steep prices for the power capacity.

Any advice?

Regards,
Elmar Schueler.

No wonder Phil gives so many people shit.
For a change, he has posted a decent reply and you still feel that you have
to attack him. Exactly who is the troll here? I'm sick of the bullshit.

Here's one idea. Find the least expensive transformer you can, and buy it.
It's a common approach adopted by many people and works on many occasions.
