Hello I am in the process of rebuilding an older MILLER TIG welding machine, have replaced two of the smaller bridge rectifiers, very low current draw on these units, may have to replace the heavy working rectifier, newer welders use four 300 amp. 400 volt Diodes hooked to alum. heat sink , the older SR are the style used in the 1960 era, I guess the question is this, could I use a lower current diodes in parallel or would this cause a problem, this would allow more area for heat dissipation and smaller diodes would be more available, old orange colored Rectifiers were wired in parallel with a couple of long bolts sandwiching everything together, any comment would be appreciated. Thanks Phil
