No prob. But it does look like it's going to require both a timing relay and contactor so I would probably be ahead of the game to just invest in a new 3 phase motor.

That's quite possible. Although most air compressors have a relief circuit so the motor doesn't have to start up against the load, as the pressure in the tank increases so does the load. A cap start, cap run motor is very suitable for this duty. You will need to be sure to wire up any timer circuit so the run cap stays in circuit after the start cap is cut out.
