Ascii US mode format on Agilent 4156C's

Aug 16, 2005 0 Replies

Hi

Page 1-16 of the GPIB command reference for the Agilent 4156C semiconductor parameter analyzer defines the status bit (3 digits) for source data to be "W" or "E" for different conditions. Since the format is supposedly ascii, is it blank blank W/E or W/E blank blank or blank W/E blank ? (It looks like W/E blank blank, but I am not certain).

Or does it refer to the standard ASCII charset code for letters "W" and "E" (between 065 and 090) ? In that case how does one interpret the next page's definition of B, where a single digit is used to represent alphanumeric values ?

A little confused here.

Thanks.
