Since the pins in the header are a friction fit, the only way to secure them would be to mount it onto a PCB. If you used a 90' angle header you could mount it onto the PCB and provide access via a slot cut in the case. I did a similar thing with a 10 way but soldered it onto the double sided PCB edge.
