UV light and damage to a CCD? (Ping Phil Hobbs)

Burning a vidicon, I believe. Glass has thermal conductivity around 1 W/m/K, as opposed to 100-150 for silicon, so that 80C becomes ~1000C.

I would expect color CCD to have an anti-UV coating on the lens.
