Sinking Heat From a Surface Mount Footprint to the Chassis

If you're going to be snarky, it's better to know what you're talking about.

It's about switching losses vs Rds-on losses. You know, electronics.

Remember any electronics?

Indeed, and since - from your queries - you don't seem to know what I'm talking about, PKB.

Yeah, sure; that's why I think your fox paws are funny.

I don't know what you're talking about, but it doesn't seem to involve electronics.

The premise hasn't changed, your perception of it has.

That maybe an overwhelming job for him..

Jamie

He seems to have chosen to join the clique of old biddies who want to cluck-cluck about personalities, and not talk electronics.

He's welcome to it. I hope I never get that old.

Lol! Some days you are the band leader, out in front, prancing like a peacock!

Rick

Hmmm... I see Roach Motels aren't 100% effective.

Seems you're there already! John Fields

I mostly talk about electronics. Some people seem to resent that.

John, if only you could see yourself as others do. When you say "mostly" you mean when you aren't engaged in some petty argument over nothing. Go back and look at how many messages you have posted after you two (or is it three?) started bickering.

And if you guys are talking about whether you are talking about electronics. At least OT it.

You might notice that I was talking, objectively, about mosfet power dissipation, specifically about Rds-on vs switching losses. JF disputed what I said, went personal, but won't be specific.

We had a big row recently, too, about whether a couple of LED blinker circuits had hang states. Again, someone else went personal rather than discussing their circuit.

I get along fine with people who want to talk about electronics. But newsgroups attract people who want to argue about personalities and not circuits.

I don't argue over "nothing", I argue over electronics. That's what a discussion group is for.

Incidentally, those TI NexFet parts rock. Qg is low and there are lots of source leads, for low inductance. I'll probably use some.

Speak from experience? Having problems getting out?

"Johny pushed me first"! You sound like a small child. Why don't you just *not* respond, especially in the same infantile way you are spoken to? I know the answer to that one. Because you can't control yourself, you love it too much.

OK, you have joined the cackle crowd.

--- You don't mostly talk about electronics, although you use that for bait-and-switch, you mostly talk about yourself in glowing terms, denigrate nearly everyone else, and perpetually emphasize that not being in agreement with and not kow-towing to you is a Bad Thing.
