How is "squeezed light" generated, for example in the GEO600 gravitational wave detector, the laser lights frequency is given more uncertainty in order to reduce the shot noise (amplitude variation) of the laser light, since the amplitude variation of the laser is what is used to detect the gravity waves. What would be the method to generate "squeezed light" like this?
