I've been very happy with Pair.com for my web hosting. Their tech support is great and they are quick to followup even the questions that I should know better.
They support Pop.
I've been there since 2004...I was on GoDaddy previously and detested that site. Annoying ads for services that I wasn't interested in was my smallest complaint.
I can recommend antagonist.nl The email includes optional catch-all, which most providers do not have. It was one of the reasons I left godaddy a long time ago.

Seems nice, and not far from here Maybe you know: Anonymous Domain name? Payment via Ideal or paypal? Cannot find that on their site

Yes sort of: Anonymous hosting allows you to either register with fake or doesn't require any personal data at all. This means that your personal information will not be publicly available in widely accessible archives like domain registrars
Yes, long story but no link to even your email.
OK Think I will give them a try, perhaps contact them for some more info.
Godaddy has no more email support it seems, I payed more waiting on the phone than I payed monthly for the site! And then I got nobody on the like (hung up, it kept saying 2 more minutes...) The one time I did get somebody that person gave the wrong info. So email helpdesk would be great
Many thanks for the info, located in the Netherlands is nice. All other things specifed on there site seem to be what I need. The cheapest monthly hosting would do. Cool!
BTW your site ademu.com says 'under construction'??

Retired here too. Just had a look, good old 8051, code I wrote in ASM for it long ago too. then there came the 8052AH with BASIC!

the 8052AH goes in the socket above the crystal. All still working.. Also wrote an assembler for it:

JTAG... data logger C code, just unzipped it and had a look..
I've used register4less.com for my domain name hosting for decades - they have a simple Privacy setting that anonymizes the site owner if you want it...
"Anonymous domain name registration is not the same as web hosting. I always register the domain names separately from the hosting. Too many stories of domain names being held captive!
I use

to evaluate registrars, mostly for price. I'm currently using Cosmotown, but I can't recommend them.

does a better job.
What pricing are people getting for web site hosting? I'm paying about $12 a month. Switching is a PITA, as not everything conveys 100%. I always have trouble setting up email again.
I have been happy with icdsoft.com for about 20 years now. The price is somewhat lower than yours I think but in the same ballpark. They host on servers in Boston and in Sofia, perhaps some more places (I think there were but don't really remember). Ftp accounts, pop3 of course, dns subdomains you can put on top of your domain, frankly more than I expected initially. Their support over email is quite swift, can't remember to have waited for an hour for a reply.

Ok thanks
Would have to look, godaddy gradually became more expensive with less service, been with them for about 20 years or so.. Before that I ran the the webserver and ftp server at home. From Godaddy billing emails: deluxe Linux-hosting with cPanel for panteltje.com $ 131,88 / 1 year plus $ 23.18 for domain registration renewal each year. plus $ 4 for some other domain related stuff (protection?) each year
So for about $ 160 a year, seems antagonist.nl is a lot cheaper, and has email support.

Thank you very much, very kind of you, I appreciate that..
Currently USING a bit above 2.4 GB anything like 3 GB would be fine.
There is part of the website not accessible via the links there, like for example scripts and remote control (so I can log in to my site and control and monitor things at home). Site then is used as a fixed communication point, The home system can check it periodically for data and update it periodically with data for example. That is to work around having no fixed IP at home and on the road. Simple example: home sends temperature as file via ssh to website. I can get it on my smartphone by selecting website.. /temp There is also a secret part for for example the modified US launch codes etc and ByeThen's brain control interface. So :-) Beware. All that is top secret of course, but I trust you all here not to tell.
Do they allow multiple domain names? Do they use Cpanel?
When I say I have trouble setting up email, I mean in my email client. Some hosting services let you use your domain name for the email server (how it's supposed to be done) others require you to use *their* server specific URL. I guess that gets around any domain name problems... well, at least you can access the email account, even if no one can send you an email. lol
In case you are not familiar with Cpanel, it's a third party hosting account management package. My first web host used Plesk which worked fine. But after that it seemed like everyone either used Cpanel, or proprietary software. Cpanel makes porting easier, as you can zip up the entire site through the interface, and install it on the new server.
Looks like 3 GB is not a problem. The bandwidth limit is 9999999999, so I'm guessing they don't restrict that until you bring down a server.
So if you want the account, let me know and I'll set it up for you.
You can set your own password, etc, but of course, the hosting owner can always change it. I can't read what it is though, so if I were to go into your account, you would know about it. Not that I have any worries or interest in prying.
You can email me through this address, if you take out ".deletethisbit".
