OT: Tax-free holiday starts today.

A tax-free holiday weekend starts today, in Massachusetts (our sales tax is 6.25%). But my wife and I can't think of anything to buy!

Indeed. If you mention that to retailers, typically they look confused and uncomprehending.

The related sleight of hand is that "credit cards" are actually "debt cards" (not debit cards, which are different).

That rate is about a point lower than ours and I find it hard to believe it is so low where Romney wrecked the economy not so long ago. Sure he did what he said, but... I think the guy is a closet democrat.
