OT: Skype any good for video conferencing?

I've used both. GoToMeeting is better at "sharing" your desktop, or slide show. But Skype is just fine for face-to-face conference calls.

I also used GoToMyPC while I was there in NY... butt slow when running thru the Extended Stay America WiFi network :-( But I was able to easily retrieve the files I forgot to pack on the laptop, and run some sims on my faster office machines. ...Jim Thompson

That?s what I thought, Skype is ok, but GotoMeeting also seems to have better video quality.

Your not the first one to mention using a faster machine via remote to run sims. Seems to be common amongst the engineering crowd. Some RF guy's I new did that with Microwave office.
