I am working on a simple led membrane label.



I have found the switch is more of a resistor dropping 200mV-300mV at



14mA so 15 to 20 ohms.

Googling I find metion of worst case switch resistance of 500 ohms.



Looks like I need a FET to switch the current.


Why? you will no doubt need a series resistor anyway... OTOH, they don't last long with those sort of currents so use a FET...
