inexpensive benchtop power supplies

I was looking for an inexpensive benchtop power supply. Something with two variable outputs and optionally a 5v fixed output. A couple of them caught my eye:

1) the circuit specialists CSI3003X3 (0-30V/0-3A) for $188

2) the RSR HY3003-3 (0-30V/0-3A) for $175

Does anyone have any experience with either? I assuming that both of them are made in china and re-branded by the companies that are selling them. It seems like these cost about half as much as something slightly more name-brand, like a BK precision or instek.

Thanks, Scott

Making a power suppy is one of the first projects any self respecting hobbiest does. If you want cheap quality try ebay. You should also consider what you intend to run from the supply, It's not a bargain if it fries a =EF=BF=BD400 circuit board.
